Les années 30 et 40, ce sont les années Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Ella Fitzgerald, Bing Crosby, Glenn Miller et son orchestre, Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole et Doris Day.
C'est l’âge d’or des orchestres, du jazz et des crooners, des comédies musicales (au cinéma) avec leurs chansons romantiques.
Beaucoup ce sont offerts un orchestre pour s’accompagner et pour d’autres c’était des arrangements plus simpliste. À cet époque, on misait surtout sur la voix et les paroles d’une chanson pour toucher les gens.
Tout le monde était habillé chic, car c’était une période où le glamour était mis de l’avant pour faire rêver.
